Deezbaa Andrea O’HareBusiness Development Consultant

    Deezbaa Andrea O’Hare is of Diné (Navajo), Shoshone, Paiute, Ute and Irish-Swedish ancestry. She has worked with many change-making organizations that revitalize Native lifeways and foodways, are dedicated to women and youth empowerment, and are leading solutions rooted in social justice and change. Deezbaa brings over ten years of diverse experience in nonprofit, philanthropic and grassroots settings, and has supported executive teams at the NoVo Foundation and Rebuild the Dream. She has managed and implemented program initiatives, grant and development strategies, and has worked with Native women-led organizations focused on community-led wellness, cultural knowledge sharing and healing arts. She has worked with many Bay Area organizations including The Cultural Conservancy, American Indian Child Resource Center, Intertribal Friendship House, and the Seva Foundation.

    Deezbaa holds a B.A. in Psychology from Fort Lewis College. She has held over 40 women’s circles focused on women’s wellness and empowerment, from Standing Rock to the Bay Area, Seattle to Santa Fe and Albuquerque, and the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation. She has been a guest speaker at many Native youth programs and cultural events, and has shared story-telling performances at the Native American Arts Festival at Idyllwild Arts Academy, Bioneers, San Francisco Unified School District Indian Education Program, and many community-based art spaces. She learns from the collective creative expression, beauty, and strength of her ancestors, elders, relatives, and community.
